The Vas'maklaram-class (also known as the U4 or translated as Shrieking Bird-class) was a type of Romulan Star Empire starship, a cruiser in Imperial Fleet service in the 22nd century. A U4 was engaged in a lengthy battle near Canis Minoris XII with the USS Runemark.
Four U4 class vessels were part of a convoy under the command of Commander Lasus, which also included three R1 class escorts and 13 J2 class freighters. On reference stardate 1/0807.25, the United Earth Starfleet 12th Strike Wing surprised and destroyed the entire convoy. (FASA RPG module: The Romulan War)
