The Vault of Eternal Destitution is the afterlife in Ferengi beliefs for those who are unsuccessful in life.
After being transported in time back to 1947, Rom initially thought that he, Quark and Nog had died and been sent to the Vault. But, Quark claimed that was impossible, because his bar on Deep Space 9 was showing a profit. (DS9 episode: "Little Green Men")
