Vaur Merol was a Romulan Republican Force officer active in the 25th century. He was first officer of the Romulan Republic flagship RRW Lleiset.
History[]
Merol was serving in the Romulan Star Navy when the Hobus supernova destroyed Romulus. Afterward he realized rebuilding was the most important task of the Romulan people. He initially believed that staying in the fleet was the best way to do that, but the Tal Shiar had other plans. Merol defected to the Romulan Republic and by 2409 was the XO of the RRW Lleiset. Merol was present at a mission briefing before the attack on the Solanae Dyson sphere facility near the Dyson sphere's star. (STO mission: "A Step Between Stars")
In 2410 Merol accompanied Commander Tiaru Jarok to an international conference in the Jenolan Dyson Sphere. (STO mission: "Surface Tension")
