USS Prometheus separates into sections.
In starship tactics, a vector was a direction of attack which could be performed by a spacecraft. While most fighters and starships are only capable of attacking along one vector, vessels capable of starship separation could use multiple sections that could operate as an independent, autonomous craft in a multi-vector assault mode, or MVAM.
