Vel K'Bentayr[src]

In the Kelvin timeline, Vel K'Bentayr was a male Monchezkin Starfleet Academy cadet in the 23rd century. (SA comic: "Issue 1")

History[]

Vel K'Bentayr enrolled at Starfleet Academy in 2258, shortly before the destruction of Vulcan. He became part of a study group including the Vulcan T'Laan, the Andorian Shev Akria, and the Humans Grace Chen and Lucia Gonzales. (SA comic: "Issue 1")

As a medical cadet, K'Bentayr was a member of the science division. He had the tendency to narrate his feelings and actions in a literal fashion but he earned social leeway due to his efficiency in diagnosing an illness and enacting emergency medical procedures. (ST video game: Fleet Command)

In the year 2261, T'Laan's study group participated in a competition between different institutes of higher education. During an interstellar race, they became trapped in an anomaly in the Wagner-219 system. Working with the long-lost Earth ship Slayton, they escaped. (SA comic: "Issue 3")

In 2262, the study group enjoyed starship duty. He was one of the cadets serving as officers on the Independent starbase Home Base and its assigned vessels. (ST video game: Fleet Command)
