The Veles-class frigate was a type of Romulan starship employed by the Romulan Star Empire that was in service with the Romulan Imperial Fleet in the 24th century.

A number of vessels of this class were in service with the Romulan Imperial Star Navy in the 2370s decade, and participated in the events surrounding the Borg Collective's attempted invasion of the Alpha Quadrant in the year 2377. (ST video game: Armada II)
Technical specifications[]
The Veles could be described as the protector of the Romulan fleet mainly due to a unique cloak projector that emanated from the vessel and would encompass a fleet. This essentially enhanced the cloaking ability of a fleet, allowing it to remain in such a state without a drain on power reserves. It was armed with four banks of plasma torpedoes as well as an array of disruptors which made it quite a formidable foe in battle. (ST video game: Armada II)
