Venezuela is a nation-state region on the planet Earth's South American continent. It was bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the north, Guyana to the east, Brazil to the south, and Colombia to the west.

Venezuela was one of several nations that suffered damage in the Xindi attack on Earth in late 2153 when their superweapon prototype cut a swath of destruction from Florida to Venezuela. (ENT episode: "The Expanse", ENT - The Romulan War novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
While the USS Enterprise was undergoing repairs following the Borg Incursion of 2366-2367, William Riker and Deanna Troi considered going to Venezuela on shore leave. (TNG episode: "Family")

According to Khan Noonien Singh, in September 1992 Augment Dictator Asahf Ferris annexed Venezuela into the South American Union.
