Venlinahr was a ritual known to the Vulcan civilization in their quest to embrace logic as the mastery of their passions.
History and specifics
In particular, venlinahr was the normal state of adult discipline learned during and after adolescence. Venlinahr was a prerequisite to later rituals such as kolinahr. (TOS - Fortunes of War novel: Battlestations!)
