Ventor Bixx was a male Bolian and an officer in Starfleet who was assigned to the security team of the new starbase Deep Space 9. (DS9 novel: Sacraments of Fire)

In late August 2385, Bixx visited Quark's with Julian Bashir, Miles O'Brien, Ezri Dax, Sarina Douglas, Sam Bowers and Olivia Dellasant. (ST - The Fall novel: Revelation and Dust)

On 2 September 2385, Lieutenant Bixx stood in for Jefferson Blackmer, the chief of security, during his double duty shift in DS9's Hub. He chatted to Dalin Zivan Slaine about relaxing after their shift was over, and that he much preferred wyscot to kanar. (DS9 novel: Sacraments of Fire)

Bixx was identified as holding the rank of lieutenant and being a crewman in Sacraments of Fire; later novels have confirmed his rank of lieutenant.
