Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

Verdee was an uninhabited planet located on the periphery of Federation-explored space in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants during the 23rd century.

History and specifics[]

The world appeared to be in a binary star system with several other planetary bodies. It had nominal gravity and a breathable atmosphere. Several continents and oceans were visible from orbit, as well as at least one moon. It had a barren surface.

In the year 2285, the crew of the USS Excelsior explored the surface.

An entrenched Romulan outpost on Verdee worked secretly to develop a prototype transporter disruptor.

Not long after Excelsior departed, the science vessel USS Surak arrived to conduct a planetary survey. Romulans used their technology on the landing party, destabilizing Felicia Mello and Brinks such that they moved like ghosts. Garace scouted further out with a bicycle, but was shot at by Romulans. The landing party was able to apprehend the intruders, and restore Mello and Brinks. (TOS comic: "The Trouble With Transporters!")
