Vess was a Trill person, a joined Trill known as a famed author on planet Trill by the 2370s decade, long after their death. This person was the third host of the Vess symbiont. (DS9 novel: Revenant)
Legacy[]
During an investigation into a conspiracy in 2372, Jadzia Dax recalled that Vess had been one of the greatest symbionts of all times due to the notoriety of its many lives, including as the famed author.
The Vess symbiont died from Fventik's Disease in the 24th century. (DS9 novel: Revenant)
