Biography[]

Hugo wrote about social decay in Paris. With the decline of the New Paris colony, it was said that the name "New Paris" reflected the Paris described by Hugo, rather than the city of light described in the works of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. (TNG novel: Survivors)

One of his more popular works was entitled Les Misérables. (TNG - Mirror Universe novel: The Worst of Both Worlds)

Dax had once read The Hunchback of Notre Dame. However, Jadzia Dax disliked his work, finding it "melodramatic" with "two-dimensional" heroines. (DS9 episode: "For the Uniform")
