Vindicta was a fictional character created and portrayed by Beckett Mariner during her service aboard the USS Cerritos in the 2380s decade.
Fictional biography[]
As a pirate, Vindicta commanded an uprated Klingon bird-of-prey starship. Her nemesis was Captain Carol Freeman. Her crew included henchmen Bionic 5, a pirate version of D'Vana Tendi, and Shempo. She liked tea, but not coffee. (LD episode: "Crisis Point")

History[]
Roleplaying as Vindicta was a cathartic therapeutic outlet through which Mariner released frustrations in her life in general and her relationship with her mother. Mariner portrayed Vindicta in the holodeck movie Crisis Point: The Rise of Vindicta. (LD episode: "Crisis Point")
In the year 2381, as many Cerritos crew were being trapped by the malevolent artificial intelligence Badgey on the holodeck, Mariner was asked to dress up as Vindicta to interact with Shempo. Shempo had swindled bolomite from a Taxor captain, who had tracked him down to the Cerritos and demanded its return. As Vindicta, Mariner ordered Shempo to give it back and confess what he'd done to the Taxor. When that particular ordeal was over, Mariner admitted to Tendi that it was nice to revisit Vindicta once in a while to cleanse that aspect of her personality. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "Live Fast and Shempo")
For another Badgey drill, she revisited her Vindicta persona to get Shempo to back down after he pretended to be the powerful "Opmeh" and threatened the holo-Cerritos with a huge version of Balok's cube. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "The Vindicta Maneuver")
Mariner dressed as Vendicta while roleplaying in the holonovel The Improbable Missions of Etta Cruz. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "The Improbable Missions of Etta Cruz")
Alternate timelines[]
In an alternate timeline, Vindicta was pulled into the temporal anomaly crisis. Vindicta was skilled in the fields of command, security, and science. Among the equipment she brought to bear in away team missions were a photon grenade, stun grenade, mass spectrometer, submicron scanner, and Pakled phasers, which were different items than those brought by other versions of Mariner who were drawn into the crisis.
