Violet Bays

Ensign Violet Bays was a seven-foot tall Human woman who served as the navigator on the Federation starship USS Excelsior in the year 2293.

Biography[]

She was one of the crew taken hostage by the Beta Prometheans.

Bays and the other female Excelsior crewmember, Nora Schmidt, were separated from Captain Sulu and the male prisoners. The Prometheans attempted to sell the women into slavery, but the Excelsior crew was able to rescue the two women shortly afterward. (TOS novel: The Fearful Summons)
