The Viridian class[3] was a 32nd century Emerald Chain starship type, a heavy cruiser[1] class in the Orion-Andorian syndicate's service in the 3180s decade. (DSC episode: "The Sanctuary")

This future ship type was acquired by the Khitomer Alliance in the 2410s and rated as a tier 6 intel juggernaut. (STO website: Shadow's Advance: The Emerald Chain Intel Juggernaut)

History and specifics[]

This class was based around the Viridian, a ship cobbled together rather than designed. In the year 3189, the Viridian was rated a heavy cruiser by Federation Starfleet and under the command of Osyraa. (DSC episode: "The Sanctuary")

The Viridian was destroyed and Osyraa, who served as the Minister of the Emerald Chain Congress at the time, was killed, during an Emerald Chain assault on the Federation Headquarters space station. (DSC episode: "There Is A Tide...")

The class, designated Emerald Chain intel juggernaut, was operated by the Khitomer Alliance from the year 2411. It was equipped with unqiue plasma weapons designated as Viridian plasma armaments. As a juggernaut, it carried a built-in Viridian juggernaut array. Additional weapons included four weapon ports fore and aft each: 2 Viridian plasma beam arrays, 1 Viridian plasma dual cannons, 1 Viridian plasma dual heavy cannons; and aft weapons: 2 Viridian plasma turrets, 2 Viridian plasma beam arrays. (STO - Duties of Command mission: "The Hunt is On")
