Virra was a 23rd century Orion woman, a pirate for a crime syndicate in the 2250s decade.

Biography

In the year 2257, she and her ship captured the USS Dorothy Garrod's crew. Her plan was take the Garrod's crew as slaves. When the USS Discovery under Commander Saru went to investigate the Garrod, she captured several of Discovery's crew that came aboard the Garrod. She demanded Saru to surrender Discovery to her or she would take the Garrod's and Discovery's crews to a slave market. Saru agreed to take his crew to the Garrod and turn Discovery over to her in exchange for her hostages. At first, Virra and her crew were able to take control of the ship. However, Saru was able to subdue Virra's crew and forced her to return to her ship before the Garrod destroys her ship. Virra acquiesced to his threat and returned to her ship with her crew.
