The Vizier class was a 24th and 25th century Federation starship type, a command assault cruiser class and subclass variant of the 2370s-era Sovereign-class, in Starfleet service from the 2370s^[2] to the 2410s decades. (STO website: Agents of Yesterday: WizKids Star Trek Attack Wing Vizier)

History and specifics[]

Vizier-class Sovereign-A — *Sovereign*-A in 2410.

At one point in the 2370s, the Sovereign-class explorer USS Enterprise-E received a new paintjob and upgrades in order to succeed in combat scenarios. The Enterprise was armed with many phaser beam arrays and photon torpedo launchers. The vessel was a match for a Borg cube and a Reman Scimitar-class warbird. In the year 2409, the USS Sovereign-A underwent a refit to the tier 6 Vizier-class command assault cruiser configuration. The Vizier class was heavily retrofitted with state-of-the-art technology. It was the first class equipped with a metreon gas warhead launcher. Fleet shipyards were able to upgrade a Vizier-class starship to Tier 6 Fleet-standards.

Visually, a Vizier-class starship stood apart from 2373- and 2379-era Sovereign-class assault cruisers due to its cyan paintjob. As a command ship, the ship's bridge layout allowed for different officer seating, giving priority to the command division compared to baseline assault cruisers. Legendary cruisers — The *Sovereign*-class family in 2411.

Following the Battle of Excalbia on stardate 84999.22^[4] in January 2411, which saw the prominent involvement of hero ships from the Federation's past and present, the Vizier class was among the assault cruisers that received a refit to legendary starship qualifications.
