The Vovossa-class was a class VII Gorn Royal Navy monitor warship in service to the Gorn Hegemony during the late 23rd century.

Specifications

The Vovossa was designed as a weapons platform to combat piracy and smuggling. It crewed 48 Gorn, officers and men, plus 20 soldiers. Propulsion was provided by two type GWD-1 warp engines, rated to cruise at warp six (OCU) and max out at warp seven, and four type GIV-3 impulse engines. Ships of this type were defended by model GSH deflector shields. These vessels displaced 89,300 metric tons and could carry up to 400 SCU (20,000 metric tons) of cargo. They had no landing capability but carried four Gorn shuttlecraft.

Vovossa was armed with four type GBL-4 and four type GBL-3 blaster emitters with overlapping fields of fire, but had limited damage potential and range compared to capital starships.

Service history and disposition

Starfleet Intelligence was uncertain exactly when Vovossa-class ships entered service, but began sighting vessels of this type via long-range sensors in the 2280s decade along the Federation/Gorn border.
