A Vulcan pulse cannon was a hand-held weapon created by the Vulcan civilization in the Kelvin timeline after their homeworld was destroyed by Nero. Unlike the Vulcan repeater, it had greater firepower to it and was able to fire full-auto fire pulses with a large magazine capacity. A secondary function generated a wide-range knockdown stun burst. It was designed by Vulcan engineers with the aim of it being used as a more aggressive weapon to quickly resolve conflicts.

On New Vulcan, the Vulcan colonists made use of these cannons against the invading Gorn, who arrived on the planet following the activation of the Helios Machine. (TOS video game: Star Trek)
