W. C. Fields (29 January 1880 – 25 December 1946) was a Human comedian.
In 2267, Montgomery Scott, reluctant to have to deal with the young Prince Raviki, told Spock that Fields held that all boys should be raised by lion tamers in the Gobi Desert. Although Spock dismissed the idea, Scott found Fields' personal philosophy most edifying. (TOS comic: "A World Gone Mad")
