WAXY's broadcasts could be heard in the capital city of Chicago. It provided hourly news updates.

In 2271, WAXY interrupted regular programming with a news report of a robbery by Leelax Mongo's gang at First Security Bank and Trust being thwarted by a super-powered vigilante. It added that a $1,000 reward was offered for the apprehension of the individual. (FASA RPG module: Another Piece of the Action)
