A walking vehicle was a type of ground vehicle which used mechanical legs instead of wheels or tracks to move around.

History and specifics[]

The Eldorian battleship Lebron had the capacity to become a walking vehicle when its forward section separated from the engineering hull and extended its telescoping legs. (TOS comic: "Menace of the Moloth")

The "metallic monstrosity" was a robotic walking vehicle constructed by Niklon. (TOS comic: "Dark Traveler")

In 2266, Ecnalians sometimes traveled by means of Ecnal walking vehicles. (TOS comic: "Planet Ecnal's Dilemma")

On Phygma IV, Klingons used walking vehicles called mechanitrons to salvage parts from the crashed Federation scout Ad Aspera. (TOS - Waypoint comic: "The Menace of the Mechanitrons")

In 2268, the USS Enterprise confronted a number of Haarkos mechanoids who had been raiding freighters near Lowaria. These vehicles were controlled by a pilot wearing an interface suit. (TOS - Star Trek: The Manga - Shinsei Shinsei comic: "Orphans")

In the 2370s decade, the commander of the IKS May'mupwl built himself a large, mechanized war suit armed with a mecha-bat'leth. He later used it to fight Lieutenant Shaxs. (ST - Day of Blood comic: "Shaxs' Best Day")
