Wanda Worrenstill was a Human Starfleet commander in the 23rd century. (FASA RPG module: The Strider Incident)

History[]

Wanda Worrenstill was born on Alpha III.

Worrenstill was described as having a slender build, with blonde hair and green eyes. Her personality was described as excitable.

The Worrenstill family was considered wealthy, even by Federation citizen standards. However, Wanda chose to turn her back on her family and join Starfleet instead, seemingly showing no regrets. Worrenstill was a consistently hard worker, and graduated with honors.

Records show Worrenstill's first starship posting was aboard the USS Hethelik, where she served for 5 years, including during the Organian conflict. During this time, the Hethelik saw action against the Klingons. During this time, while serving as Navigator, Worrenstill helped save the ship on more than one occasion.

Worrenstill's next posting after the Hethelik was the USS Burnham, for 3 years. After this service, she received a promotion to Commander, and a transfer to the newly-refit USS Lexington as first officer to Captain Grant Franklin, as the ship set off on its shakedown cruise. Worrenstill saw this posting as a test of her abilities, a challenge she seemed to relish. After the Lexington set off on its shakedown cruise, following

During this testing phase, the Lexington began experiencing issues with its engines, requiring continued on-the-fly repairs to keep the vessel in working order. Eventually, Captain Franklin made the decision that the engines would need to be overhauled, and set course for Starbase 12. However, Starfleet Command had other ideas, and sent the Lexington to investigate two freighters that had been destroyed in the vicinity, before the Lexington was authorized to proceed. Discovering recent wreckage, Captain Franklin and his crew devised a plan to lure out the perpetrators - mimic a distress signal from one of the destroyed ships, using civilian frequencies. When the pirate ship appeared, a standoff ensued, eventually resulting in the pirate captain destroying their own ship in an effort to take out the Lexington. While the pirates were not fully successful in destroying the Lexington, the damage was severe, rendering the ship's jury-rigged engines almost completely destroyed. Eventually, the ship's engineers were able to get engines functioning at 20% power, only enough for limited Warp 2 flight. Captain Franklin set course for the nearest starbase, Defense Outpost 1121, for emergency repairs, a journey that would take several weeks.

After the Lexington moored at the outpost for repairs, Captain Franklin was invited to dinner by Commodore Bram Harmonson, where they discussed the diplomatic incident recently caused by Captain Kristine Reardon in the Stogar system, and her impending court martial. Franklin was appointed as a juror in the case by the Commodore, which had the direct effect of preventing him from investigating matters on his own. Nevertheless, trusting his crew, he assigned them to research the matter independently. The crew would go on to interview station personnel, Captain Reardon, and her crew. During their investigations, the crew found the outpost's Lieutenant Art Davials dead in his quarters, prompting the station's commander, Captain Carl Curtis, to bring in each member of the Lexington's crew for questioning, which kept the officers up until early the next morning.

Upon reporting back to their captain, the next day, the crew of the Lexington proposed a plan to crack the case once and for all. This plan would involve enlisting Raerdon's crew to help commandeer the only currently-warp-capable ship at the outpost, the USS Strider, and abducting Captain Reardon to ensure her safety - a plan Franklin readily agreed to, and helped enact.

26 hours after departing from the station, a jailbroken Captain Reardon in tow, the Strider arrived in the Stogar system, and fell into a trap laid by the IKV Bloodsteel. Captains Reardon and Franklin were able to negotiate for the bouy they had come for, and departed for the Neutral Zone with the Bloodsteel as an escort. After arriving back at the Outpost, Captain Franklin and his crew were instrumental in the unmasking of Commodore Harmonson as a Klingon agent, and clearing the names of the Strider's crew. (FASA RPG module: The Strider Incident)

The "Further Adventures" epilogue to the Strider Incident story suggests the crew of the Lexington might continue to pursue Commodore Harmonson into The Triangle Sector, but this is merely left as a possibility.
