The Ward class was a 25th century Voth starship type, a repair ship class in the orthodoxy's expeditionary force service by the 2400s decade. Ships of the class were unarmed but capable of restoring capital ships disabled during combat. In the year 2409, ships of the class were deployed in the Solanae Dyson Sphere. The ships were typically deployed in mid-battle to make in-flight repairs to damaged Palisade-, Bastion-, and Bulwark-class starships and could reactivate a disabled vessel in short order. The Ward repaired these vessels by emitting an energy cone from its bow. During and after the repair, segments of the Ward hull glowed. (STO episode: "Solanae Dyson Sphere")
In 2409, the Khitomer Alliance acquired Bulwark battleships and redeployed them as tier 5-rated dreadnought cruisers. One of the battleship's special weapons included calling a repair ship. (STO website: A New Accord: Duty Officer Pack Promo)
