The Washington Monument was a landmark that honored George Washington, first President of the United States, and was located in the capital city of Washington, DC in North America on the planet Earth.

History and specifics[]

The Washington Monument was 555 feet tall. Benny Russell recalled during a visit to the 1939 New York World's Fair in New York City that its massive Trylon spire was 50 feet taller than the monument. (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars)

The headquarters office of Aegis agents Cynthia Foster and Ian Pendleton offered a view of the monument. Foster saw it through a window on the morning of 11 November 1957. (TOS novel: From History's Shadow)

On 24 December 2008, Roberta Lincoln and her granddaughter Chloe walked along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, one end of which pointed toward the monument. (TOS - Assignment: Earth comic: "My Name Is Legion")
