Deep Space 9 had a waste extraction system that the engineers of the station hated having to repair. (DS9 episodes: "The Ship", "The Assignment", "Empok Nor")

In 2373, a creature entered Deep Space 9's waste extraction section and took Leeta, Trinia Eltur and Ivia back to its lair there. (DS9 comics: "Lwaxana Troi and the Wedding of Doom", "Four Funerals and a Wedding")
