Weapon Zero was launched against the wishes of the Xindi Council by Commander Guruk Dolim, who swayed the Reptilians and Xindi-Insectoids into betraying the Council. Alternate timelines[]

In another alternate timeline, a temporal anomaly deposited Enterprise NX-01, Weapon Zero and a Xindi fleet in the 24th century. Joining forces with the 2370s-era Federation Starfleet Sovereign-class starship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E), the NX-01 was able to destroy Weapon Zero and its escorts in the 24th century. (ST video game: Encounters)

In one of a myriad of timelines, Lieutenant junior grade B'Elanna Torres compared the Xindi planet-killer's physics with those of the Species 8472 planet-killing mechanism in 2373. (VOY - Myriad Universes - Infinity's Prism novella: Places of Exile)
