Wendy Staton was a fictional 20th century Human woman, a character featured in the 24th century holonovel Tigers of the Deep.

Fictional biography[]

In the 1950s decade, Staton was a sonar expert serving in the United States Navy. Buck Stragen assigned her to a mission investigating ship disappearances within the Bermuda Triangle. Her role was to supervise and operate prototype sonar equipment being installed in the decommissioned submarine USS Bengal, which would be refit and operated by a group of retired navy personnel working freelance.

At one point, Frenchy gambled away Bengal's new engine to Yma Árbol in a game of poker. Bengal's CO Dick Fuller had to win it back, and Staton intervened to keep seductress Árbol from distracting Fuller during the game.

She joined their adventure, discovering the sunken city of Atlantis, battling the Russian pirate sub Yakutsk, helping defuse a bomb on their ship, and becoming romantically involved with Fuller. (Last Unicorn RPG - Holodeck Adventures module: Tigers of the Deep)
