William Carnegie was an 18th and 19th century Human man. For six years he served as captain of the HMS Enterprise in service to the British Royal Navy.
History[]
In 1787, Carnegie was ordered to force the French navy in the Atlantic Ocean from Gibraltar back to Biscay, Spain. A squall snapped some of the Enterprise's rigging, but he refused to let a storm halt their mission. He ordered the ship's engineer, an ancestor of Montgomery Scott, to tend to repairs before the storm took out their crossjack. (TOS comic: "Scotty")
- Carnegie fought at the Battle of Trafalgar as well as in the Napoleonic Wars and American Revolutionary War. He was a contemporary of Horatio Nelson.
