Shatnerverse is an unofficial, fan-created nickname for the separate continuity in which the Star Trek novels written by William Shatner and Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens take place.

The novels primarily feature the further adventures of a resurrected Captain James T. Kirk in the 24th century, post-Star Trek: Generations. In order to avoid confusion with casual readers of other Trek book series with references to Kirk still being alive, it was determined that these books would transpire in their own separate continuity.

The series is set to continue in the era of Kirk's days at Starfleet Academy. The release date of the next Shatner/Reeves-Stevens book has yet to be announced.

Series editor Margaret Clark has gone on record as not liking the nickname.

Notes

Some fans have speculated that the two Star Trek: The Next Generation entries in the Dominion War series, Behind Enemy Lines and Tunnel Through the Stars, actually take place in the Shatnerverse as they contradict post-finale Deep Space Nine fiction and are referred to in the Shatner book Spectre.
