Biography[edit | edit source]
In 2266, Willis manned the phaser control room aboard the Enterprise during the starship's encounter with a space eagle starship representing the Agoni police force. The vessel's unusual appearance as a feathered eagle confused Willis as well as David Bailey, James T. Kirk and Spock. When the vessel approached too close for comfort, Willis disobeyed orders and fired a phaser at the space eagle, disabling its propulsion systems and exposing its interior to space. Kirk then led a rescue party aboard Space Rescue Bug 5 to assist its crew. (TOS comic: "The Eagles Have Landed")
In 2270, while investigating the apparently abandoned USS Yorktown, Spock sent a security detail to various portions of that ship. Among them, Willis was assigned to deck twelve, while Chopra went to sickbay, Krawchuk to engineering, and Murphy to deck nine. After Yorktown personnel were restored, Willis reported that engineering was back to normal. (TOS - New Visions comic: "A Scent of Ghosts")
- For purposes of this wiki, the characters in "The Eagles Have Landed" and "A Scent of Ghosts" are assumed to be the same person in the absence of conflicting information. Another Willis served aboard the Enterprise in the 2260s, a CPO who was killed on Rudimon in 2268.
