Window-of-Dreams-pulsar-cluster

The Window of Dreams pulsar cluster.

The Window of Dreams was a stellar cluster, a group of pulsar stars located in the galaxy's Delta Quadrant. (VOY episode: "Body and Soul")

History and specifics[]

Lokirrim space 2377

Map of the space around the Window of Dreams cluster.

The spacefaring Lokirrim people knew of the pulsar cluster known as the Window of Dreams. In 2377, Captain Ranek told Seven of Nine of the Federation that the Window of Dreams' electromagnetic fields created beautiful harmonic sounds when they vibrated against a starship's hull. Ranek showed Seven the nebula-like pulsar cluster to impress her. According to Ranek, there was no other phenomenon like it in the quadrant, and that it was the most beautiful sight in this sector. (VOY episode: "Body and Soul")

Similarly, the slave Dal R'El once told Gwyn about the Window of Dreams during his detention on the Tars Lamora prison colony. He called it the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Dal recalled the event in 2383, shortly before his escape from Tars Lamora. (PRD episode: "Lost and Found")
