The wooly slug was an animal lifeform native to the planet Ferenginar, specifically the plains of Splort.

History and specifics[]

Wooly slugs were slow and docile creatures which could be easily controlled by being kicked until they did what was wanted. The herding of wooly slugs was a lucrative business for many Ferengi, who were called slugboys. Wooly slugs were consumed as slug steaks, and their hides were used for clothing. The natural enemy of the wooly slug was the snailosaurus, which was only slightly faster than its prey. When not hunted, the wooly slug had an average lifespan of twelve years.
