Worin was a Bajoran man who was the First Minister of Darane IV.
When the Hive targeted Darane IV for scouring with its material absorption capabilities, Worin promised he would resist them with everything at his disposal, sending Major Marel's fleet to engage the enemy. When the fleet was routed by the Hive's monofilament weaponry, Worin appealed for help from First Minister Shakaar Edon. When the Hive deployed its scouring capabilities, Worin was killed when the building he was in collapsed. (DS9 novel: Objective: Bajor)
