Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is a United States Air Force facility located in Dayton, Ohio.

History[]

Starting in 1947, the main task groups for Majestic 12, Project Sign, Project Grudge, and Project Blue Book operated out of Wright-Patterson, including prominent figures James Wainwright and Edward Ruppelt.

On 26 September 1963, while wearing camouflage devices, two Certoss sneaked into the base's Warehouse 13B to investigate a Vulcan survey probe that had crashed in Lima, Ohio and been brought to the base. While there, the intruders fought Aegis agents Cynthia Foster and Ian Pendleton. They killed Pendleton, shot three Air Force guards, and self destructed the probe. The base remained cordoned off the next day.

By 1968, Foster had sneaked into the base several more times before being relieved by agents Elizabeth Anderson and Ryan Vitali.

On 22 April 1968, Jeffrey Carlson visited Wainwright and Allison Marshall at the base, where he showed them top secret military reconnaissance satellite photographs of the USS Enterprise in Earth orbit taken on the morning of 29 March 1968. (TOS novel: From History's Shadow)

On 10 July 1969, shortly after Captain John Christopher's return from visiting the Enterprise — and retaining memories of contradictory timelines — a disguised Roberta Lincoln told Christopher that he was to be debriefed at Wright-Patterson. (TOS - Strange New Worlds III short story: "The Aliens Are Coming!")

In the 24th century, the Early Aerospace Museum was located at Wright-Patterson. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Heart)
