Xi was a female individual who served as an engineering officer in the Federation Starfleet in the 24th century.
Biography[]
By 2381, Xi held the rank of ensign and was assigned to the Starfleet Corps of Engineers team on Deep Space 3.
That year, following the Borg Invasion of 2381, she was one of the engineers working on Project Reassimilation. During the project, she had recurring nightmares that the inert material she was studying injected her with nanoprobes, turning her into a new Borg Queen. (ST novel: A Singular Destiny)
