In the 19th century, Noah Porter served as president of Yale's undergraduate college, Yale College. (ST - Mirror Universe novel: The Sorrows of Empire)
Dr. Christopher Danton of Project Hercules graduated from Yale in 1948, having studied particle physics and applied thermonuclear energy. Dr. Angela Franklin, also of Project Hercules, graduated from Yale in 1952, having studied physics, experimental chemistry, biology, electrical engineering, and romance languages. In the 20th century, Yale hosted a production of an Anton Chekhov play. While rushing to get to the play, one of the performers was killed in a traffic accident.
