Yamani was a Human man who served in the Earth Starfleet during the mid-22nd century as an enlisted security officer assigned to Enterprise (NX-01).

Biography[]

In early 2153, Enterprise encountered an anomaly which transported the ship into a parallel universe, while having been damaged by a gravitic mine. A race called the Denari captured Enterprise and imprisoned most of her crew at the prison satellite Rava One. After about two weeks, they took control of the facility and some of the crew led by Captain Jonathan Archer escaped aboard a Denari Stinger in search of Enterprise. Archer placed Yamani and Rodriguez} on the Stinger's weapons systems, commenting that it was similar to what they had trained on, but that about a dozen Stingers couldn't hold up to Enterprise. During their search, Archer had Ensign Katreen Riley implement the attack maneuver Rackham's back door, of which Yamani and Rodriguez had discussed a couple days prior. Yamani used the maneuver to target three Denari Stingers pursuing them taking out one of the Stingers.

Following retaking Enterprise, Yamani was tasked with guarding Leeman Sadir, a young human boy and the next leader of the Denari people, either at an unused crew cabin or while escorting him around the ship. Including taking Leeman along with Porthos on a walk in Cargo Bay D-2. (ENT novel: Daedalus's Children)
