Yolad Belar was male Trill who lived in the 23rd and 24th centuries. He was the older brother of Joran Belar.

Biography[]

To attend the Tenaran Music Academy, Yolad had to seek a patronage from the Trill Arts Board, unlike his younger brother who was given a full scholarship. (DS9 - The Lives of Dax short story: "Allegro Ouroboros in D Minor")

In the year 2285, Yolad was contacted by his brother and Yolad noted Joran had become more confident and colder, before Joran informed him he had been joined. Despite Joran's murder of a Trill Symbiosis Commission doctor, Yolad still loved and cared for his brother.

In 2371, Benjamin Sisko and Julian Bashir contacted Yolad, who revealed to them that his brother had in fact been joined, which helped them conclude that the Symbiosis Commission had hidden information about Joran's union with the Dax symbiont. (DS9 episode: "Equilibrium")
