Yudoo was a planet located in the space of the galaxy's Delta Quadrant, the homeworld of the Yudoo civilization. The entire economy of the Yudoo depends on the harvesting of the mochana shoot. Unfortunately, the plant is very often guarded by the fierce ailurus lizard. Over a hundred thousand Yudoo are killed yearly in the harvest. The entire population, once numbering in the hundreds of millions, now only amounts to only forty-two very lucky people. (ST reference: Star Trek Cookbook)
