Zaria V was a planet located in the space of the galaxy's Gamma Quadrant, the fifth planet in orbit of the Zaria star system and the homeworld of the Zarian civilization.
History and specifics[]
In the year 2370, the Zarians approached the Federation with the intention of establishing Zaria V as a vacation destination for Federation visitors. Benjamin Sisko later sent Kira Nerys there to investigate the possibility, although Kira became involved in the struggle between the Zarian working class and the master class. Taking part in the "Negotiation", Kira won the competition for the working class, which set them on a path to improve their status in Zarian society. (DS9 comic: "Working Vacation")
