Zarv was a Tellarite ambassador who lived in the 23rd century.
In 2268, Zarv and his diplomatic team were sent on a peacekeeping mission to the planet Ammdon, and was to be transported there by the USS Enterprise.
Enroute to Ammdon, the Enterprise discovered a strange alien woman who was able to telepathically control the ship and crew and encouraged a mutiny against Captain James T. Kirk and marooned him and his supporters on a previously uncharted class M planet. Unfortunately, the Enterprise was trapped in orbit of the planet thanks to damage that was sustained during the mutiny. While in orbit, Zarv beamed down to the surface in an attempt to rescue his aid, Mek Jokkor, but instead he was killed by the planet's inhabitants. (TOS novel: Mutiny on the Enterprise)
