Zeta-2 Reticuli was a G class star, the second member of the Zeta Reticuli binary star, and was located within Federation space in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. it was located 3,750 AUs distant from Zeta-1 Reticuli.

In the 22nd century, the United Earth Starfleet established a space station in orbit of Zeta-2 Reticuli. The facility had facilities for shore leave, repair, and an observation gallery.
