Zeta Centauri was a star system, a binary star located about 118 parsecs (385 light-years) from Earth, where it is visible as in the constellation of Centaurus in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

In the year 2266, the Federation starship USS Enterprise was heading for Zeta Centauri to scout it for class M planets when it received an emergency transmission from Argylus. (TOS comic: "Child's Play")

Since this is a "real" star system, we know details about its location and makeup not revealed in its Star Trek mentions, where it was only mentioned by name.
