Zonek Karle was a Cardassian sleeper agent inside Federation space that used the alias Jeremy Gleason and piloted the Solanco.
In 2374, Karle was sent on a critical mission to deliver a Changeling that had infiltrated Starfleet on Earth to Terok Nor, the Changeling having gained access to codes that would shut down the minefield blocking the entrance to the Bajoran wormhole. The entity (*) realized that these codes would allow the Dominion to end the war and its feast, so (*) caused tension among Karle and the Dominion contingent, eventually ending with Karle setting the ship on a course for the Hunyadi Rift, killing the Changeling, and being killed by the Jem'Hadar troops. The Solanco continued on its course to the Rift, where it was destroyed, ending (*)'s existence. (ST - Tales of the Dominion War short story: "Night of the Vulture")
