Zora was a vilified figure from history, a humanoid scientist who used tribes on planet Tiburon as the subjects of inhumane experiments on their body chemistry, resulting in cruel mutilation and dismemberment of their natural biology and anatomy.

In the year 2269, a replicant of Zora was presented by the Excalbian civilization as a representation of a well-known example of a person who was evil. James T. Kirk and Spock were expected to demonstrate the difference between good and evil by interacting with and battling Zora and the rest of the replicants. Zora was played by actress Carol Daniels DeMentMA. Her actual species name was never revealed onscreen, however, according to the script she was described as "a Tiburon".
