Background

Prior to the Cross Cult publications of New Frontier translations, these third and fourth books were collected into a Heyne translation omnibus entitled U.S.S. Excalibur, using the same cover art as the second book, Into the Void. Either the art used was a preliminary version, or it was retouched for editorial reasoning - both Shelby and Calhoun appear wearing older TNG and DS9 uniforms, respectively.
